North Pole Breakfast 2018
With a new baby and three other little ones this Christmas, our Christmas activities have been few. I hope to do more next year, but for this year I simply tried to hit the highpoints. One such activity was a "North Pole Breakfast!"
I picked up some festive plates, napkins and cups and the dollar store. Such a simple touch, and yet the children were so excited! I think next year I may add a festive table runner. (If you know me, then you know that I'm a believer in adding to collections one piece one year at a time).
For the meal, we made cinnamon pancake snowmen! I used mini chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth, bacon for the scarf, blueberries for buttons and whip cream for snow and snowflakes. (The snowman print plates just happened to work out where the print of the plate created a hat and arms for the pancake snowmen. haha!). It was such a fun and slightly indulgent breakfast!
I love doing such as this! As I think towards the upcoming new year, I'm thinking so much on how I might do special meals like this to turn the ordinary to the extraordinary. In the eyes of a child, such as this is so special. (And, truthfully, it's special to me too).
