Homemaking 101 DVD Review and Giveaway!

                                               

      I have mentioned before that when I entered the realm of homemaking I quickly became confused and overwhelmed. I began to explore the question, "what is homemaking?" I needed the practical, hands on and daily living kinds of answers. Equally as vital is the counsel of wise women who have a heart for the importance for matters of faith, family, and home. From the contact I've had with many who have joined me at Reviving Homemaking, I'm assured that I'm not alone in this exploration. 


       Better than reading of homemaking is seeing it, and that is why I was thrilled to be offered the Homemaking 101 dvd by Family Vision Films. In the film, Jennifer opens the door to her home and offers the viewer in inside look at homemaking in action. She demonstrates and speaks on many subjects relating to homemaking such as: budgeting, cleaning, child care, meal preparation, time management, homeschooling and others. The content is presented with simplicity, so as to give the audience a true "101" or introductory look into homemaking. The film also offers a bonus section, part of which includes Jennifer conducting an insightful question and answer session and demonstration of cooking terms. 


         The film is well done in teaching and narration. I must say that the gentle and feminine manner in which Jennifer conducts herself is truly inspiring and refreshing. The lessons on homemaking also pose as great encouragement. I have been so motivated to be a greater blessing to my husband and manager of my home ever since viewing the film!

To kick off the reopening of the Reviving Homemaking Etsy Shop I'm offering a giveaway for a set of four cloth napkins!

Cloth napkins are a fantastic way to add some pizazz to the dinner table! They're also a great money saver by eliminating the need to constantly buy and throw away paper towels. With cloth napkins you can add some frugal fun by easily switching out your sets for everyday use, special occasions, or in celebration of holidays or seasons.

Four coordinating patterned napkins are included in the set. Each napkin is single-sided with mitered corners, and then top-stitched. The size is approximately 14 1/2" x 15 1/4". They were made in a smoke-free and pet-free home. All fabric has been pre washed and shrunk.

Care: machine wash with like colors and no chlorine bleach. For a crisp appearance, press napkins with a warm iron before use.

Fall Giveaway!

       I love the fall season! The cool weather gently gracing the skin. Hayrides to find the perfect pumpkin to bring home to sit at the doorstep. Apple and pumpkin pies permeating the air with their delicious aromas. Quiet walks along trees so beautifully clothed in vibrant colors. In a nutshell, fall ushers in a season of warmth. I like to imagine it to be the kind of warmth in sentiment or activity that draws people closer together.
  
      To celebrate the official beginning of fall, I'm offering a GIVEAWAY! A fun apron will certainly add some pizaaz to your cooking or baking! This one features the main skirt of pumpkin print fabric with the waistband, ties, and pockets of a worded fabric ("Thanksgiving," "Autumn," etc). It is a medium size and measures: 28 1/2" in length, and 82 1/2" from the tip of left tie to right (waistband itself is 23 1/2"). Being an apron, it can be tied to fit most sizes.

     I've been working on this for a bit, and am so excited to be able to offer it to you now! There are three ways to enter and a total of six entries permitted per person.
