Homemaking 101 DVD Review and Giveaway!
I have mentioned before that when I entered the realm of homemaking I quickly became confused and overwhelmed. I began to explore the question, "what is homemaking?" I needed the practical, hands on and daily living kinds of answers. Equally as vital is the counsel of wise women who have a heart for the importance for matters of faith, family, and home. From the contact I've had with many who have joined me at Reviving Homemaking, I'm assured that I'm not alone in this exploration.
Better than reading of homemaking is seeing it, and that is why I was thrilled to be offered the Homemaking 101 dvd by Family Vision Films. In the film, Jennifer opens the door to her home and offers the viewer in inside look at homemaking in action. She demonstrates and speaks on many subjects relating to homemaking such as: budgeting, cleaning, child care, meal preparation, time management, homeschooling and others. The content is presented with simplicity, so as to give the audience a true "101" or introductory look into homemaking. The film also offers a bonus section, part of which includes Jennifer conducting an insightful question and answer session and demonstration of cooking terms.
The film is well done in teaching and narration. I must say that the gentle and feminine manner in which Jennifer conducts herself is truly inspiring and refreshing. The lessons on homemaking also pose as great encouragement. I have been so motivated to be a greater blessing to my husband and manager of my home ever since viewing the film!
Intrigued? Well, Family Vision Films has generous given me a copy of the dvd to share with you in a giveaway!!! I really enjoyed it and know you will too. :)

ReplyDeleteI am sure this DVD would help me take care of the cluttered cupboards and closets in our home. I am also looking for tips on how to naturally clean windows for a smear- free finish. Any advice?
ReplyDeleteGreat thanks! The DVD looks amazing. I know it will help me get organized and focused, which is exactly what I need.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to see this giveaway! I'm always looking to improve my homemaking skills, no matter how many years I've been doing it!

ReplyDeleteI could use this DVD for sure! I desire to be a much better homemaker, wife, and mother. I am searching for any help and tips on my journey to be the best homemaker I can be. I want to own this DVD someday and to win it now would be AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThis DVD looks like it would be an encouragement. I've helped my mom for years and so I know a lot of the basics of home care and cooking, but it's totally different to be the one in charge of managing your own home!
ReplyDeleteThis DVD has been on my radar for sometime now. I would love to win a copy to share with my 2 teenage daughters.
ReplyDeleteI became a homemaker after having a career in law. It wasn't until after salvation did I realize God's design for me. My kids were 11, 8, and 6 when I came home. We brought the children home as well to begin homeschooling them. I'm still learning as it has only been 6 years.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to share your opinion!!! What a wonderful homemaking resource!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling with balancing homeschooling, 5 younger children, and homemaking all at the same time! Since my Mom was really sick with Lupus since I was 11 she has told me I didn't receive the training in homemaking skills like my older sister did. This DVD looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see how a mom with young children cleans the house and trains her children how to do it.
ReplyDeleteHomemaking experience? Well, at 62 I've gone down many paths...SAD, low fat, too many grains, sprouted grains, paleo, etc, but am still learning what works for me. This DVD will help me to explore even more, and I would definitely be sharing it with friends I'm always trying to 'make' healthier. :)
